We use only the finest local meats, seafood, vegetables and herbs.
Sourced locally from Australian and New Zealand wineries, with an emphasis on small, boutique production.



At the Tender Trap we create top quality, unpretentious, beautifully presented food with supreme attention to detail in an atmosphere of ambience and comfortable hospitality.

Where else will you be able to enjoy slow roasted pork belly, or a perfect aged eye fillet served with truffle potato puree topped with port reduction?  When the basic ingredients are this good the cooking doesn't need to be complicated. 

Afternoons or evenings spent at the Tender Trap are a delicious combination of elegant indulgence, good company and a real sense of occasion.

Owner Chris Moraitis believes passionately that people should be fussy and that when they come to the Tender Trap, everything from the welcome through to the after dinner coffee should be genuine and as good as it can be. There are many fine dining restaurants in Melbourne but few of this calibre.
